Manuel Antonio Surf Lessons

Let Manuel Antonio Surf School you up at your hotel in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area and take you to one of the best surfing beaches in the area for a three hour surf lesson in a group of three students max per instructor. Your pick-up time will depend on the tides because MASS wants to be sure that you will catch the best waves possible (we’ll confirm the exact time and beach the night before by calling your hotel).

Our favourite choices are Manuel Antonio Main Beach, or in front of the balu Restaurant in Manuel Antonio. On arrival at the beach you will be outfitted with the “Tools of the Trade” (surf board, leash and rash guard), and will get ready for the fun to begin. Your bilingual instructor and his assistants will give you a safety talk and begin to demonstrate the first steps of surfing before you even get into the water. When you feel confident enough to give it a go, your MASS instructor will accompany you into the waves and continue to instruct you throughout. Surfing is tiring work, so when you feel ready to take a hard-earned break on the beach, help yourself to some fresh fruit and delicious cold drinks courtesy of MASS. Then it’s back into the water to catch some more waves before finally being driven back to your hotel.
